Meet the Owners
Hi, we’re Alyssa & Shawn Cox, the heart and soul behind Clothes Mentor in Charlotte & Rock Hill. Our adventure in the resale world began in a flash—we opened our first franchise just 3 days after our honeymoon in 2012. By 2013, our passion led us to launch a second location, and in 2015, we proudly expanded with our third store. Even though we’re part of a franchise, we’re very much a local company, having called this community home for over 20 years. Our commitment to personalized service, sustainability, and style runs deep.
Our family now includes two beautiful kids (ages 3 and 1) and our wonderfully lazy dog, Pookie, who brings joy to our everyday life. In our spare time, we proudly volunteer with the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte, reinforcing our belief in community and support for important causes.
